2 Historical Movies

It is always good to learn about the past in order to understand things today and of the future. That is how important history is for every individual. It is sad to say that most of the youth today don't even have interest in learning our history that brought us what we are enjoying today, our freedom and everything else.

Well, thanks to these incoming historical biopic movies that you can watch some of our heroes and parts of our history. I'm sure these would be something worth to watch, share and enjoy with your family.

First is "Heneral Luna", Directed by Jerrold Tarog and a MMFF entry, that will be shown on cinemas this coming Christmas.

Set during the Philippine-American war, this historical biopic movie follows the life of one of Philippine History’s most brilliant military men, General Antonio Luna, as he tries to lead his countrymen against the Spanish colonialist, and to rise above their own raging disputes to fulfill the promise of the Philippine Revolution.
Played by some popular Filipino stars John Arcilla, Arron Villaflor, Joem Bascon, Archie Alemania, Alex Medina, Art Acuña, Mon Confiado, Epy Quizon, Bing Pimentel, Mylene Dizon, Alvin Anson, Nonie Buencamino, Lorenz Martinez, Leo Martinez, Ketchup Eusebio, with the special participation of Paulo Avelino, would make it more exciting to wait.

Secondly, "Andres Bonifacio, Gusto mo ba siya makilala", the incoming 2015 movie starring Philippines most popular action star Robin Padilla.

The movie aims to shed more truth on the life of Andres Bonifacio, a hero during the Spanish Colonization and the Supremo and founder of Katipunan movement which is the largest revolutionary group who sought and fought for our country’s freedom from the Spaniards. This would surely give the Filipinos a more substantive and refreshing tale of the Filipino hero.

Let's wish and hope that in the future, life of other Filipino heroes will be shown in movies too.
