5 easy steps to achieve your goals

Posted on at

Hello everyone! This is my 2nd week of being here in Bitlanders and I have been enjoying the site a lot. It keeps my mind refreshed with the interesting blogs that I read and the blogs that I make! This helps me in improving my skills on this one and I hope I'll get to b better on writing. I also hope I can gain more friends here! So this is my 2nd blog entitled "5 easy steps to achieve your goals" and to start off here is a quote what blog is all about:

The goal you set must be challenging. At the same time it should be realistic and attainable, not impossible to reach. It should be challenging enough to make you stretch, but not so far that you break” –Rick Hansen via www.brantford.ca

What is a goal? For me, a goal is something you dearly want; something you'd like to achieve or accomplish and means a lot in your life. It is something that is not impossible with perseverance, self-confidence and eagerness to strive. I believe in the saying that dreams do come true if you pursue it. I have a lot of goals in my life and sometimes I get confused which ones should I accomplish first and in what way or how I could accomplish it. And I guess if you have goals, you can relate to what I am saying! And to help you with that I would like to help by sharing insights and techniques to becoming better in achieving our goals in life.. Now here I’ve got 5 easy steps to achieve your goals:

1.) Have a clear view of your goal

First off, before you can hit your goal, you have to know exactly what you’re aiming at. Set your goal; if you have many, you can write it down on a paper, diary or even at your smartphone’s notes to keep you reminded.

Dave Kohl, professor emeritus at Virginia Tech, says that people who regularly write down their goals earn nine times as much over their lifetimes as the people who do not. However, 80 percent of Americans say they don’t have goals. Additionally, there is another 16 percent of Americans who say they do have goals, but they don’t write them down. Fewer than 4 percent of Americans write down their goals, and fewer than 1 percent actually review them regularly. Read more here.

Writing helps you identify the goal/s you have achieved, the goal/s which are still in the process and the goal/s you would like to have more effort in order to achieve it sooner. Perhaps you would like to have an A grade on Pharmacology, aiming for a 50 dollars pay out per month here at Bitlanders, wanting to be on the top 1 of the Leader Board or wanting to lose 20 lbs of your weight; be clear and specific at what you what you want to accomplish. Aim for it and lock your eyes to it.

Tip #1: You can also decorate your wall with the goals you set to keep you motivated. Or maybe you want to picture out yourself living with that goal, you can make a Do it Yourself vision board.. It will keep you strive hard if you'll imagine the outcome and the great feeling of it! Here is a video of how to make a vision board:

2.) Don’t forget to pray

Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Psalms 37:4-5

4 Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. (NKJV)

To understand my point here, consider these two passages from the bible when setting up your goal. Always pray to God; tell him what your heart desires and he’ll listen, acknowledge Him in all that you do and he’ll grant you those and of course ask for grace and guidance in helping you with your goal. Prayers can move mountains. Every time I do this I feel less nervous and more confident that I can really do it since I know God is with me watching and guiding me along the way and that I know I can always count on Him.

3.) Make a list of steps, exert more effort and stay focused

You don’t want to get distracted with achieving your goal; outline the things you need to do in order to reach there. Stay focused, you can set a specific time, just an enough time for you to achieve it. Have more courage to pursue them and exert more effort to achieve an outcome effectively or even in a short period of time. Like the need to read more on your Katzung and Lipincott Book for your Pharmacology lessons and to be punctual on class so that you won’t skip lesson to achieve an A grade. Or maybe submit 5 blogs per week and post atleast 3 microblogs, 3 videos and 3 photo galleries consistently everyday at Bitlanders to get more likes and buzz score per day or read, watch, subscribe and buzz; keep on being active on this site so your earning will increase day by day which leads to attaining your goal of 30 dollars a month and being on the Leader Board. Keeping an eye on your diet, having a 30-minute workout at home, and/or taking the stairs instead of the elevator at work to reach your desired lbs. to lose. Be dedicated of your efforts and exert more and more! Have perseverance to attain that goal.

4.) Have your fuel and Keep calm

Just as massive planets produce gravity—drawing everything toward them—it seems that tough problems and challenging obstacles have enough mass to pull you away from getting what you want. This force gets bigger and stronger as the challenges get larger and tougher. Don’t give in.

Your mindset can have a big impact on achieving your goals. Don’t think negative thoughts and don’t listen to anyone who just pulls you down, don't run the risk of letting anyone else's opinions get in your way, it doesn’t help. It’s better to stay positive at all time, you have to believe in yourself, visualized that moment you already had achieved that particular goal; that attitude will help you aim your target! You can look for a motivational quote, print it out and stick them on your wall to keep you reminded that all will be well, meet or consult people who can help you and encourages you that includes your family who will always there to support you in whatever you do, and/or opening the Bible to read powerful verses to inspire you in achieving your goal.

"Surrounding yourself with people who have some connection to your dream is also sure to push you forward," says McCulloch. If you want to get into the fashion industry, for example, schedule lots of time with fashion-forward pals. They may not know what you're trying to do, but being around them will keep your eyes on the prize. Stated by Bethany Heitman via www.cosmopolitan.com

5.) Reward yourself and finally Enjoy it

Many things can happen along the way in your journey towards achieving your goal; it may be good or bad, you should learn how to be flexible with any circumstances that can happen and have alternatives somehow. Once you finished a few steps, you can reward yourself little by little and finally with something bigger once you already are living your goal. Enjoy not just the results but as well as the process too. That will open up new learnings and opportunities. Help others too in achieving their goals and then you can go back to No. 1 to set a new target again! :)
