Child Labour

Posted on at

Children are the flowers of heaven and they spread their fragrance everywhere and make the world beautiful for us; but, if they are maltreated and neglected, the surrounding Turn gloomy and sad. Bended labour not only takes away the charm of these flowers but also destroys their character for the rest of their lives. To my mind, child Labour s a curse and the matter of shame for any nation.

Yet in the most of the underdeveloped countries, young, innocent and poor children, whose basic rights  is to get education and love from their surroundings, are treated like animals and are abused by their masters.  Instead of going schools, they get up before sunrise and go to their work, which is picking papers, other useable things from the trash bins. They are also employed by the motor machines, who take all sorts of difficult work from them. Some children also work in factories and weave carpets.

Some children are made to work as helpers at various shops. The saddest thing is that they don’t ask for luxuries, even the fulfilment of their basic necessities is the greatest happiness for them; but, their silent tears and cold sighs are too mild to be noticed by their busy countrymen. They only work harder and harder. They endure the extremes of temperature. They can be seen carrying heavy loads, walking bare-footed in hot summer afternoons when we enjoy our lives sleeping in our air-conditioned rooms. They are not made of stones they also feel tried and hot.

If we had helped those children out of their miseries, if we had treated them lovingly and supported them financially, had we taken pity of them, given them the proper education, they could have become responsible and patriotic citizens. The children, who are exploited today, stand up as rebels tomorrow.

The government has already made education free for all up to matriculation in order to provide them with proper education and basic facilities of life so that these flowers may be able to spread their fragrance everywhere

It is for the country to analyse the root causes of this deprivation and address the problem with topmost priority. At the same time, it is for us, the educated and privileged people to ensure that the parents made more aware of this inescapable necessity
