Do Corrupt Government Cause Crimes?

Posted on at

By watching news everyday, we are getting knowledgeable of many things that are happening around in our society. Current events, weather forecast, statistical growth of our economy and crimes are being reported by the media. And one thing that you can't put away in the news are the crimes being reported each day. We can't do nothing but just watched this in our television as all of this happen. As much as how we want to help lessen the crimes, we're just ordinary people and it's the authorities' duty to handle this. The real question here is, are authorities really doing there duties? Can we still trust them? Well maybe the authorities and the government are doing whatever they can but you can't take away the risk that they don't. Especially today, there are policemen who are caught in the controversies of doing illegal acts. I watched all the latest news this past few days and all I can hear is about all the policemen who are doing bullshit. Instead of making the society peaceful and crime-free, they're the one who promotes it. They're a hero and at the same time a mastermind of their own crimes. I don't generally rant all the police in my country because I know there's still policemen who are doing their duties and responsibility. Yet, I don't know If I'm still safe if I ever go out of the house.

Government on the other hand is on red alert on this issue. If you're gonna ask me what I'm feeling right now, it's mixed emotion of being proud of my government and at the same time feeling shit about my government. Corrupt politicians are rampant in our society. Our country is so beautiful yet why you guys put shame on it? Some came from a reputable family and most of YOU corrupt politicians finished college degrees in some of the prestigious universities yet you show yourselves like you didn't experience being on school!

I know that the government know more than what I'm writing in this article. But I'm also knowledgeable that government knows that corruption promotes the growth of poverty. When there's so much poverty there's bound to be crimes, money laundering, drug and human trafficking and many more horrific crimes. We usually blame criminals when they commit crimes but sometimes I can't help myself from blaming the government instead. These people who commit crimes are also a victim of the political corruption. All the taxes are going in their bank accounts rather than the benefits of every people in the society.

And this raise me a bigger question. Who's the real culprit in our society? The government or the perpetrators? Well, if this madness never stops, the government can be the perpetrator as well.
