A picnic to a serene place is something that all of us like. If it is with our family, then it is more fun. Me along with my parents , visited Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh during the last summer vacation. Shimla, which is a hill station, is one of the most popular tourist destinations. This is an ideal place to spend the summer vacation.

     Me and my family journeyed on a meter gauge train on the kalka-shimla line. The train journey was a wonderful experience for me. I could enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the hills. I missed no opportunity to capture the beauty of Shimla in my camera. The snaps that I took showed my brilliant photographic skills. No one would be surprised if I turn out to be an expert photographer in future.

      Reaching Shimla, we visited famous places like jakhu hill, summer hill, kufri. They also found time to visit the Indian Institute of advanced study. On their way back, an incident spoiled the festive mood of the family. Someone on the train stole my mother's golden chain.
