Filmmaker Amy Hill To Fight Poverty in Zambia

Posted on at

Amy Hill has been part of the Film Annex family for a few years now. She's very active on the platform and has expressed her interest in Film Annex's initiative in Central and South Asia since it was launched. She calls it "the Film Annex philosophy."

Besides from working with Creative Director Eren Gulfidan on questions for the Filmmaking Curriculum on the Examer educational software used by Afghan students, she's preparing a 3-month trip to Zambia to fight poverty. About her upcoming journey, Amy says: "I'll be focusing on the issue of HIV and helping to run development projects that tackle it."

She is now raising funds for the Voluntary Service Overseas organization so they can continue working with developing countries and supporting volunteers in making a direct contribution to the fight against poverty.

On her Facebook profile, she announced that she is starting a 72-hour hunger strike to support her mission. She's spreading the word about her project and need your help!

You can read her blog Raising £1000 to fight poverty! to know more about it and visit her JustGiving donation page if you wish to help.

Thank you!
