First victory in Mercedes for Lewis Hamilton. The British driver has finally been able to use his pole advantage in a circuit where overtaking is difficult, dominating a basically boring race. Podium completed by Kimi Raikkonen which, with this result, exceeds Alonso in the overall standings, and by Sebastian Vettel, who loses only a few points in the championship. The Ferraris disappoint again: Alonso holds the fifth position had at the start while Massa finishes eighth with many contacts with other drivers.
