Good News for Soldiers in Afghanistan

Posted on at

In a past blog post, I did some research and didn't find any postivity in Afghanistan and I realized, IT WAS RIGHT UNDER MY NOSE! Everyday I go through my social networks and I see all this info on Afganistan from Film Annex. It's usually pretty interesting topics with CEO's on video or Marine war veterans. Some of the programs that Film Annex is creating to help in Afghanistan has nothing to do with war or the amount of blood that was shed that month.

One of the programs that is widely getting exposure is the Film Annex Web TV G.I.V.E ( Global Initiative for Veteran Entrepreneurship). G.I.V.E  is a veteran support organization that looks to provide assistance to any Marine or soldier looking to pursue a dream outside of their military branch. Some of the biggest issues in the United States is the lack of attention that is given to these men who have made the ultimate sacrafice for this country.

In the movie Harsh Times with Christian Bale, we saw a man with Post Tramautic Stress Disorder looking for a job with no assistance and creating havoc in society. Not all men who leave war are dangerous but they do have a very particular set of skills that can be detrimental to themselves and people around them. The beauty of G.IV.E is it allows these veterans to live a life after war and be mentored by business entrepreneurs. It's not quite often you hear about a veteran starting a business or businessmen helping a United States Marine start his own business.
