Dear Friends, I hope you are doing fine. I have come up with my another new Blog with the title of "How To Raise Children". All the married couples or partners want to have children immediately or later at some point in their lives.  Children are not doubt, gifts from God and the ones who have children must thank God for this blessing.  It is a huge responsibility on parents to bring up their children in such a manner that they become productive and positive human beings on earth in future.  Parenting is a 24 / 7 job and both mother and father need to understand that they will have to give ample time using their experiences in life to their children and nurture them in such a manner that both parents and children should remain satisfied and happy with each other.  Here in this blog, I shall highlight the ways in which parents should bring up their children. To raise children, it is very important to have a cooperative attitude combined with a calm temperament.  Children in early age need a lot of attention and become demanding, therefore, parents should adopt positive and relaxed approach as their children grow.

✔     Types Of Parenting

All over the world, there are different types of parents which depends on the area and environment in which both Parents and Children are living.  In developed countries, the approach is different as compared to parenting approach in developing countries where there are hardly any boundaries or limitations in strictness and thus creating a hostile environment for children in which they do not have the opportunity to express themselves amicably.  There are every kind of parents and parenting techniques available in this world.  From strict parenting to neglected parenting, all the methods and practices exist in the world and are available for experiencing and learning.  Here are four main types of parenting that I shall highlight in this blog.

✔    Very Strict Parenting

This type of parenting is very common in third world countries and in countries where there is aggression, terrorism and poverty.  This very strict parenting is also called Authoritarian Parenting.  In this type of parenting, strict rules are applied on the children and they are not allowed or supposed to have their own opinion and expressions.  Parents show no compromises in this type of parenting and children are not allowed to give their input in daily chores and living practices.  As the children grow, there is a tendency of becoming rebellion if treated with this type of parenting.  In this type of parenting children's self-esteem is compromised and in future, children find it difficult to express their feelings and thoughts to others which may lead to other behavioral problems and sometimes it may result in different Disorders later on which may be irreversible.  Generally, there is lack of love and strong bond between children and parents in this kind of parenting which creates Communication Gap and it also leads to further complications in the future.

✔     Mild Strict Parenting

This type of parenting is more common in developed countries or stable countries in the world where there is no or not a lot of aggression, terrorism and poverty. This mild strict parenting is also called Authoritative Parenting. In this type of parenting, Strict rules are applied on the children, however, in this type of parenting, parents realize and understand the importance of listening and creating an environment where there is cooperation with their children. It is a kind of parenting in which there is more democracy than in authoritarian parenting.  In this parenting, children have self-confidence and they can share their feelings and express their thoughts with their parents.  This Parenting Technique is one of the best types of parenting. Children are more likely to be successful in their lives later on if this type of parenting is adopted by their parents.  This type of parenting helps to increase self-esteem and helps to create a healthy environment for both children and parents. There is a strong love bond between children and parents in this type of parenting and there is hardly any communication gap and hindrance in the relationship between parents and children.

✔     Easy-Go Parenting

This type of parenting is very common in those countries where parents do not want to have a lot of responsibilities on their shoulders.  This type of parenting is common mostly in European countries or in other developed countries.  This type of parenting is also called Permissive Parenting and is also one of the best parenting techniques, however, there are some draw backs in this type of parenting.  For instance, children tend to take their parents irresponsibly and non-seriously.  In this type of parenting, there are few rules that are applied on the children and there are few demands that are put on children. In this type of parenting, there either there is no or little discipline at home and parents somewhat pose themselves as friends to their children.  This technique is adopted by parents to make their children self-confident and to develop their self-esteem.  However, non-serious attitude may be the problem in the long run and therefore, parents should keep an eye on this aspect.  There may be compromises in this type of parenting and children are allowed freely to express their feelings and share their thoughts about daily life style. Generally, there is no lack of love and weak bond between children and parents in this kind of parenting which ultimately results in reduction of communication gap.

✔     Neglected Parenting

This type of parenting is also pretty common in those countries which are developed and everybody has rights to do whatever they want until and unless their practices harm others.  This type of parenting is also known as Uninvolved Parenting and in this type of parenting as well, parents do not want to have a lot of responsibilities on their shoulders and children are treated as Government Property i.e. Government takes care of the children more than their parents do.  This type of parenting is also common in European countries or in other developed countries of this modern era.  In this type of parenting, there are no rules and there is not very much interaction between parents and children.  Sometimes, in this type of parenting, parents detach themselves from their children and could reject or neglect their children altogether.  There are many draw-backs in this type of parenting because children may turn towards unhealthy and unethical practices because in their tender age, they do not have enough information as to what is good or what is bad for them.  Children may turn towards drug-use, weapon-use or many other types of aggression which may lead to further complications in the future as well as behavioral problems.

Parenting is a tough job and it requires a lot of attention and time to master this art of parenting.  It is important to undertsnad the basics of parenting and provide such an environment to children in which they can be brought up in the best possible manner.  This is a kind of relationship and in order to teach children how to nurture relationships, parents have to set an example themselves.  Parents will have to put in their best efforts and although they may not be the best parents on earth, but still can do their best and be satisfied with their attempt.  Communication Techniques such as empathy and sympathy can work wonders in parenting and one must teach their children emotional intelligence which will be very beneficial for the children in many walks of life.
