As a serious film worthy of the Cannes Competition, Lawless tries to be flawless; as a movie, it s often listless—lifeless. Cosmonaut by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis Maggie initially decides to leave, but Forrest convinces her to stay, letting her use a spare room. And traditionally the gangster film teaches us that we ve got to pay for our sins. One of the best performances I seen this year so far, heâ(TM)s absolutely violent to the max, and wonâ(TM)t let a thug embarrass him for nothing.
