My Top Ten (10) Scariest and Most Fun Movies to Watch on Halloween

Posted on at

Hello Bitz! Halloween is coming. Yep. So today I want to write about what's coming. I really don't like writing about scary things, but hey, it's Halloween!! Perfect timing. Geez. Anyway, what I wanted to share today is more about my favorite Halloween throwback movies which I love watching especially every Halloween.

What's the scariest movie you've watched?

On my top list of the scariest movies to watch which I find perfect for Halloween in my own personal opinion, of course, are these below.

#1 Final Destination

Yep. This is the first ever movie I've watched which I find to be very scary way back in school days. Final Destination is not a new movie, it's a throwback I know but what I love about this movie is that the culprit is nowhere to be found in the entire movie. Maybe it's a story about survival because people are fighting against their own death, something evil that hunts people down in a bizarre like it was destined-kind-of-way.

Final Destination is a movie with many sequels but the best one for me is the first release of this movie. Stunning graphics, the plot, the casts are all so amazing.

#2 The House of Wax

Well, this movie is somewhat different. The House of Wax is about a serial killer who collects his victims and makes those victims into wax figures while they are still alive and awake. A master of his art, the killings takes place in an isolated town, more like an abandoned town.

I find this movie disgusting, really, I mean, to be honest, this movie made me decide not to watch more movies like this. I've watched this movie once but, still, I would highly recommend the "House of Wax", so maybe those who haven't watched this would get the same experience as I did. Chill. It's up to you really.

#3 Green Inferno

Ok, I think my throwback movie list is getting scarier and also I think this movie is intended for those who love to travel in unknown places. Good thing I don't pretty much really want to travel, though.

Really guys, this movie, Green Inferno", is something else. This movie is about a group of students who participated in saving tribes from getting exiled from their home which, being destroyed was caused by the land development of a certain company.

How would you feel if your plane was sabotaged and crashed and then suddenly, you get trapped in an isolated place surrounded by cannibals who makes rituals and human sacrifices? I would certainly feel like I'd rather settle into Mall strolling or a walk in the park.

#4 Nightmare at Elm Street

I've been writing in random. "Nightmare at Elm Street" is an 80's movie, I think. Anyway, what I love about this movie is the song. There's a nightmare song developed for this movie which was intended to scare little girls and boys. I also love how this movie portrays a character of courage that defeats the evil spirit who devours human souls.

Freddy Krueger was the son of a nun who got trapped in a mental institute and rapped by all those in it. He grew up and became a serial killer that tortures kids so the towns' people of Elm Street burned him alive in his home.

Yep. That's where the story started. How to find out what happens next is up to you :-). I guess maybe most of you reading this blog is well aware of this movie. Some would say this movie is not that impressive at all. But for me, at least I get to see Johnny Depp as a teenager back then, an amateur, such a throwback it is.

#5 Pet Sematary

Pet Sematary is again a super throwback must- watch a movie from my movie list. Although I wish there's a remake someday, but hey, the best thing about this movie would be, well, it's a kind of burying the dead and bringing them back to life only to find out that something else is in that body, an evil spirit or maybe a demon who loves killing people. There's no escape when you bury your dead loved ones in the Pet Sematary because they will certainly come back for you.

So, how's it been? Have you decided what's the scariest movie for you? If it's not on the list then maybe you can contribute in the comments below.

As I find myself consumed by the fact that I have not had enough just yet, I figured to write another list for you guys.

What're the Most Fun Movies to Watch on Halloween?

#1 Goosebumps

It's a childhood thing, I was born in the 90's, so maybe those of you born in the same year knows what this movie is all about when I say "Goosebumps".

What I really love about this movie are just the graphics and the comedy scripts in the remake. It's not really that much for an adult like me. LOL. It's still fun to watch though.

#2 The Mummy

Ok, so the first time I saw this movie gave me an impression of well, "Nice movie.", still, the graphics are amazing and kept me think I was watching an epic kind of west-side-cowboy being chased by a resurrected mummy.

The adventure was fun to watch, this movie is action packed with it. No twists but decent, I guess I've watched too many movies already. You think? Oh well.

#3 Peemak

This is a Thai movie by the way, and my favorite cast in this movie is none other but Mario Maurer. A fun-family movie and a must-watch.

I just love this movie to the last. A story of friendship, loyalty, and love mixed with lots of surprising twists and mysteries.

I think maybe you should watch the trailer first if you guys haven't watched this movie yet.

Watching Thai movies gives unique experiences to viewers which earned various reactions from people. Peemak is one of my favorite Thai movies which garnered awards and gained lots of positive reviews that this movie was even used in commercials.

#4 Casper

This will always have a spot on my list. Casper is one of my favorite childhood movie ever. It's a fun movie to watch on Halloween.

Now tell me. Who doesn't know Casper? Or even the famous song, "Remember me this Way"?

#5 Jumanji

Although this movie isn't really related to Halloween, maybe just a slight, anyway, "Jumanji" is also an action-packed movie.

Would you rather get sucked inside a board game or a video game than get stuck with your life as a loser? I would rather watch this movie. LOL.

You guys should enjoy your Halloween. Whatever version you choose, make it scary or fun. I would enjoy both. Till next time guys! I hope you enjoyed reading my blog. Till next time.
