Poverty and unemployment are increasing in Afghanistan

Posted on at

It’s clear that since last year the poverty and unemployment in Afghanistan, especially in Herat is in the high level and there might have been many reason for this problem.

The first cause of poverty and unemployment in our country is that our government has not had a great and master plan on growing first need plants in the villages and has not helped the farmers to grow more. And as most part of Afghanistan‘s economy depends on developing the villages, it can be the reason for the poverty and unemployment. Because there is no motivation for our farmers they have been disappointed and are living their villages and most of them have immigrated to other countries like Iran, Pakistan, Australia and elsewhere.

The second reason is because of the three decades civil war in our country. Most of our people have been relocated from their own places, and it’s clear that by moving from places to other place it costs more. So most of us will need more things to buy as needed and we don’t have them in our country and they are being imported from other countries. Our money goes outside of Afghanistan and we don’t have much thing to export instead. In that case our people become poor and unemployment.

The third reason is famine. As we know that our country is located a little bit high from the sea level and these years there have not been much raining, so we have lost most of underground waters, rivers and streams.

The most important reason for poverty and unemployment in our country is that the free market system in our land is not working. It’s a good system when we have our own factory and exporting our resources outside. But now there are no exports and we are just users. The goods that we are using come from other countries, most from china and unfortunately all of them are fake. Imagine almost every Afghan has got their own cell phone and because they have been made with low quality after every year we have to buy a new cell phone. If we multiply at least 200 Afs for a simple cell phone to not all of our population but half of it may become more that one trillion Afs. And that’s why we are becoming poorer and more unemployment every day.
