Preliminary charges over jihadi networkv

Five people have presented before a French judge and could encounter preliminary charges over a jihadi enrolling network in a mini southern town from where many youths went to battle in Syria and Iraq. The move comes after three days of police probing of the five after security forces arrested them in association with the network in southern Lunel.

Officials on Friday told at least six people from the town killed in Iraq and Syria in current months. Interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve has told Tuesday's attacks destroyed a jihadi network.France says nearly 3,000 citizens have connections to militant fighters in Syria and Iraq, with important contingents in both the Islamic State outfit and al-Qaida-linked Nusra Front.
