Rain washes out 4th day

Incessant rains washed out the fourth day’s play in the first Test between Bangladesh and South Africa in Chittagong.

No ball was played on Friday, leaving South Africa on Thursday’s 61 for no loss in their second innings. The visitors are trailing the hosts by 17 runs.

Dean Elgar is not out on 28 while Stiaan van Zyl is unbeaten on 33.

In the first innings, the Proteas made 248 while the Tigers scored 326, taking a 78-run lead.
