RED BLOOD CELLS

Posted on at

As we are well aware of the importance of blood in our bodies. Our body works as blood circulates in it. Heart function is to pump the blood which circulates in our body through blood vessels. Do you people really know about the weight of blood in our body if not then there is pretty cool information that blood covers the 12 % of our body weight. Normal human body contains 5 to 6 liter of blood. The reason for red color of blood is because it has red cells which are also called ‘Red Blood Cells’. There are 5 to 5.5 million blood cells per microliter (cubic millimeter) and in women it is about 4 to 4.5 million. These cells contain 95% of hemoglobin and 5% of glucose, mineral ions, enzyme, and dissipated proteins.

These cells distribute the most important substance oxygen in body. The life of these cells is about 4 months or 120 days. There is another interesting thing about cells is that in each second more than 2 million cells have been produced and destroyed. But if this amount decreases to certain level than the person is effected by “Anemia” disease.

Blood helps to fight against diseases and it also kills bacteria. Blood also helps in blood clotting process and seals the open wounds.
