Our College held a tournament of football at H8 campus, where teams from different schools from Islamabad participated.  To be clear, I am the one in Barcelona's T shirt and the shorts on the right side. We were representing Roots, so our blood was warm enough for the tournament. Excitement was on a whole new level. There were 16 teams altogether. Besides the football tournament there were many other sports going on simultaneously on other grounds but my focus is only on football.

The tournament began with our match being the opener of the ceremony. We conceded a goal in the earlier 20 mins and at the half time we were 1 null down. I was the captain of my team, so I didn't let my fellows feel low. I boosted them up and competed back in the second half and scored a goal. Now it was the end of the time with score 1-1. As according to the rules set earlier our match was decided through penalties. Finally we won the penalties with a good margin. The matches went on and on until we qualified for the semi finals. we were putting a great effort but were also tired as hell. Unfortunately in the first half of our semi finals, 2 players from our starting squad got injured. I was one of them. We were going good till the end of the first half as the score was null on both sides. They were university students were a lot better physically from us. As the second half was coming to the end, our team mates were totally exhausted. The opposition started showering goals towards us and we could hardly cope to score one, The final result was 4-1. It was really shocking for the audience as the competition started very tough and even till the second half the score was 0-0. So we got defeated terribly. But its not a shame for us, because even though they were a lot bigger than us, we still took the competition and gave our best. Football is a game where you can not expect what happens in another second an injury or a goal. 

Overall it was an amazing tournament, all the participants enjoyed a lot and there was also a dj at the back to entertain the audience. Looking forward for more tournaments of this kind. Thankyou for reading. I hope you all like it.
