Syria Confrontation/UN Security Council?

Confronting Moscow, Beijing & Syrian regime, Hillary Clinton now plans to join Arab League Chief and Qatar Prime Minister/Foreign Minister in pressing for adoption of resolution pressing forward for a peace plan based upon transition of power from Bashar Assad (the Arab League’s own peace plan). Moscow and its Syrian ally are boxed in. They sought to have a “peace conference” in Moscow, but that was quickly dismissed by the Syrian opposition and EU, US as well as Arab League leadership. Neither Moscow nor Beijing have a different card to play now, and it will be difficult to resist a mostly united Arab League shoulder to shoulder with US and Europe.
