The Global Impact Award Gala... Celebrity Advocacy at its Finest

Posted on at

#IntheLab had the good fortune recently of covering a truly moving and remarkable event held December 3 at the Best Buy Theater here in New York City. The Global Impact Award Gala under the auspices of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation honored former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton for her advocacy in the global campaign to combat pediatric AIDS. The Foundation, now in it's 25th year continues the work initiated by Elizabeth Glaser who passed away from the disease in 1994. For more insight into Elizabeth Glaser's story and the foundation's tireless fight to fund research and treatment programs worldwide, visit their website at: http://www.pedaids.org/

We invite you also to watch the #InTheLab interviews with host Arthur Kade as he speaks with actresses and advocates Mary Steenburgen and Gloria Reuben, Miss Universe Gabriela Isler, photographer Nigel Barker and Elizabeth's son Jake Glaser. Listen as they share their thoughts about the Foundation's work and their involvement in the fight to eliminate HIV and AIDS. With the holiday season in full swing, this is truly a story that will warm your heart. And with the glitz and glamour of Hollywood's award season also drawing near, it is nice to get a rare insider's glimpse of these stars of film and television giving of themselves in a heartfelt and sincere effort to make the world a better place. Truly celebrity advocacy at it's finest...
