HISTORY: The 'missing' Tara, 4 lbs of of solid gold from Precolonial PHILIPPINES (13th Century) from Agusan del Sur reveals the already sophisticated and complex society of Pre-Hispanic Philippines. This Tara is now housed in Chicago Field Museum in the US since it was bought for PHP4,000 in 1922. One day, this page hopes that Philippine artifacts like the tara as well as the Balangiga Bells of Samar are returned to the country.
