THE POPULATION PROBLEM IN PAKISTAN 2

Posted on at

Unemployment among skilled and unskilled workers is highly undesirable. Most of our young people are wandering from pillar to post because they have no definite aim ahead. Many of them turn into anti society elements. Some of them have become drug-addicted and are leading a wretched life.

They have become a nuisance both for themselves and society. Because of over population, our children are unable to get proper education. A lot of children remain uneducated. They become parasites on society. They are unable to find any means to earn a suitable living.

All five years plans have failed badly only because they are unable to meet the requirements of a rapidly growing population. The government has failed to create an urge among the people to limit the size of the family. No doubt, the government is taking steps to tackle this monster but no success can be guaranteed unless the people themselves have a desire not to produce many children.

We are living in a world which is maki9ng rapid progress in every walk of life. Owing to our defective planning, we have been unable to achieve our aims and ends. If we want to have a healthy society with economic prosperity, we will have to limit the size of our families or we shall be leading a life of horses and oxen.
