Top Five (5) Interesting Characters of Belle from the Movie "Beauty and the Beast"

Posted on at

Hello friends! I've always loved watching Disney movies. I think, if I may recall, this cartoon movie, "Beauty and the Beast" was the first Disney movie I've watched during those times which was way back in the 1990's. I have to say, after watching this movie, I was so mesmerized by the story that I wanted to watch it again and again. I guess that's how I defined it as my favorite Disney movie ever, even until now.

What's even more surprising was the remake of "Beauty and the Beast" from the original cartoon into a real-life action of famous performing artists.

Belle was portrayed by Emma Watson, whom I personally think is the perfect match for the original cartoon version of Belle. Although her acting needs a bit more as to her performance, nonetheless, it's the flow of the story and the graphics effect that's more enticing to watch in the movie, that's if you've already seen the original cartoon movie?

Anyway, in this blog, I would like to focus more on Belle and her interesting characters which she possesses.

#1 Belle as a Dreamer

Belle loves reading books. She'd always indulge herself of reading the same book from her favorite library and dream that she'd be like in her books. I love that character of Belle.

“I want adventure in the great-wide somewhere, I wanted more than I can tell… For once it might be grand to have someone understand, I want so much more than they’ve got planned!” -Belle

In reality, I seldom see girls who love enjoying their time alone. Only introverts do that, like me. Check. I do enjoy my alone time, it's like my mind is traveling somewhere and helps me create more digital arts thus, interpreting my dreams and converting it into forms of real art.

But, well, I'm just saying, it's nothing serious. #2 Belle as a Simple Intelligent Girl Unlike any other girls in her town, Belle likes reading books as I have mentioned earlier so that makes her smart enough to see her world behind what's obvious. The most obvious thing about her town is that girls like her age love flirting with guys especially the one character I hate, Gaston. I think almost all the girls in her town dream about marrying Gaston, but Belle is the only exception."> www.imdb.com/title/tt2771200/mediaviewer/rm2650945536

#2 Belle as a Simple Intelligent Girl

Unlike any other girls in her town, Belle likes reading books as I have mentioned earlier so that makes her smart enough to see her world behind what's obvious. The most obvious thing about her town is that girls like her age love flirting with guys especially the one character I hate, Gaston. I think almost all the girls in her town dream about marrying Gaston, but Belle is the only exception.

Belle is just highly intelligent to rely on someone especially Gaston, who thinks of girls like his own personal trophy or slave. Despite the fact that Belle clearly doesn't want anything to do with the guy, Gaston keeps on interfering with her life and convincing Belle to marry him. Yes, because aside from Belle being intelligent and simple, she is the most beautiful girl in her town and other girls envy her.

#3 Belle and her Charming Beauty

Here's another truth about Belle, she is beautifully charming and sophisticated. Yep. How Disney came up with this image of Belle which matches that of her beauty and intelligence is just so fascinating.

For me, this is another one of the exact reason why of all the Disney Princesses created, Belle is my forever favorite.

#4 Belle as a Loving Daughter

Belle loves her father very much. She believes in him even if his father was a well-known lunatic in their town because Belle's father loves inventing kinds of stuff.

Belle is such a supportive and loving daughter.

#5 Belle and her Inner Strength

Another thing I admire most about Belle is that she has this inner strength that pushes her to take risks regardless of the consequences, a sacrifice.

When her father got trapped and captured by an unknown Beast in a faraway castle, Belle never hesitated in finding her father on her own. I also loved the moment when Belle made the decision to sacrifice herself in exchange for her fathers' freedom. Belle was just so consumed by her love for her father that she instantly offered herself to serve the Beast forever and live in that forgotten castle as a slave.

Belle seems to be always so curious about all things that she wanted to discover and see what's behind the forbidden side of the castle that the Beast does not want her to see, but she's just so stubborn.

I guess being stubborn is one of her inner strength though, that's the funny thing about this movie. But come to think of it, if it weren't for Belle being so stubborn, the movie would never get to a happy ending.
