The entire poker game with the up-and-coming stars at the beginning of the film was pretty much ad-libbed. Julia Roberts as Tess Ocean Benedict then returns to the room where he left Danny and finds him still there, apparently still being worked over by Bruiser, leaving him with no way to connect Danny to the theft.
