West Valley Fault Dilemma

Posted on at

I read in the news just this day  that any time soon, there is possibility that the West Valley Fault in the Philippines particularly in Manila (Philippine's National Capital Region) will be greatly be affected if ever a possible 7.2 magnitude can hit the city including nearby cities of the said city.

The authorities is very much worried because the fault is not being active for 358 years. And if this happens it can have a 7.2 magnitude earthquake like what happen to Nepal last month.

If this happens, is our government ready for this? Sad to say, government officials admitted that they still don't have massive, concerted and comprehensive planning and effort. So we just hope and pray that the West Valley Fault will not be or never be activated.
