DHA Suffa University opened its doors to students in 2012 and offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in engineering, computer science and management sciences. DSU has a capacity of 3000 students on a five acre campus and there are plans to build a second residential campus, able to accommodate 11000 students, 700 faculty members and 2000 non-teaching staff.

IMechE DSU Student Chapter received its official confirmation on February 11th, 2015 and has been persistently working to reinvigorate students scholastically as well as technically by providing them with various platforms for their professional development. The chapter strives to produce not only highly competent engineers, it includes in its manifesto to nurture the personal traits of its affiliates helping them succeed as refined individuals.

World Bulletin Team added,

"This group at DHA Suffa University (DSU) was launched earlier this year at an inaugration ceremony attended by more than 200 people. The student chapter has already organised several events and won prizes in national level aerospace competitions."

The previous mega-event organized under the banner of IMechE at DSU, The Big Crunch was not only highly appreciated by prominent professionals and participants but by the IMechE HQ in London as well. Cashing in on that reputation, IMechE at DSU is introducing its latest venture, Contrivance, which will set another milestone for all IMechE student chapters in Pakistan. With a slogan of it’s all about Imagineering, the event has something to cater to students from all fields and standards of education.
