Women’s sport in Afghanistan

      Women in Afghanistan country are mostly interested in Basketball, swimming, Taekwondo, Cricket, Volleyball and especially in Bodybuilding and According to statistics provided by Afghanistan Sport Department.

 

      Females exercise various type of sport in this country and women considerable achievements in this country. Women’s sports are growing in Afghanistan.  Females sport became accomplishments in recent decade that indicate active participation of women and girls athletes on competitions in different matches.

 

      Now in Afghanistan women interested in sport like different sports and currently more than 2800 women in Afghanistan have the membership of Taekwondo Federation, It is noteworthy that, more than 25 of them are champion women.

     

      One from Women Sport Union in Afghanistan pointed out the low economical status of athlete’s families, deficiency of sports more facilities and lack of professional women teachers as big challenge with female athletes in Afghanistan. She also said that all problems females are interested to sports in Afghanistan.

     

      Moreover, sport subject thought practically by professionals in Afghanistan women schools and their teams compete verse each other more than 150 gyms are currently available for women athletes in this country.

 

      Although women athletes have a lot of problems but female athletes have overcame struggles to the remarkable extent. Athletic officials in this country say: woman athletes have a lot of challenges but they have brightly shined in different fields at recent decade.

 

      Gymnasiums and stadiums for women have solved a part of female’s athlete’s problems in this regard. Beside all these, the female sport grew fast in these country women schools and every individual school has their own team and the teams operate in different fields like: football, volleyball, basketball, tennis and etc.
