Zaeem's Photography

In a recent International Wiki Loves Earth Contest, Pakistani photographer, Zaeem Siddiq, scored first place. His photograph that won from over 108,000 submissions from 26 countries was from Pakistan’s scenic lower Kachura Lake in Gilgit-Baltistan region.

Just one glance at Zaeem’s winning photograph, will justify his position. But Zaeem wasn’t the only Pakistani to have participated in the contest. Over 1,500 contestants chipped in more than 11,000 photographs from Pakistan alone, showcasing the tremendous love for the country.

So, check out what Zaeem Siddiq has to say about our beloved country and his accomplishment that made us so proud on an international forum.

Zaeem:I was born in Taxila, shifted to Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunwa and then to Wah Cantt. So you can say I pretty much grew up in different parts of Pakistan. My family and I also went to England for a brief period but we didn’t like it there. We came to a decision that Pakistan is the place for us, so we shifted to Rawalpindi, Bahria Town and that’s where I completed my high school and college from.
