Big Data In The 21st Century

Uploaded on Wednesday 15 January 2014

DESCRIPTION

Humans generate more data every day now than what we did from the dawn of civilisation to the year 2000. The age of Big Data has arrived, and teams of data analysts in government and private corporations are sifting through this data to not only learn more about our habits and behaviours, but also to predict future behaviours. Steve and Ben discuss big data and its implications for our society this century. The guys also discuss: film critic David Stratton’s secret communist ASIO file, getting the best French Fries in the Solar System at Jupiter, people unable to get work in a new world where the tech industry is becoming prominent and Michael Bay’s meltdown at Samsung’s CES keynote.
