DESCRIPTION

In a recent position paper, mobile app development company Cupcake Digital discussed its commitment to socially responsibly in the development of entertainment-based children’s apps and in every aspect of how it conducts business.

Cupcake Digital’s guiding principle is to create apps that balance fun and entertainment with the priorities of safety, privacy and education. The company believes that social responsibility is “good business” and leads to success; and it works to continuously improve its products to make than increasing beneficial to young children.

The company strives to anticipate advances in digital entertainment, and also to keep abreast of new issues and concerns of importance to parents and educators.

Incorporating activities into their apps that will help prepare young children to meet the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) requirements is one of the company’s most recent advances. (CCSS is a set of educational requirements that children must achieve at each grade level from kindergarten through 12th grade, such as specific reading and writing skills; critical thinking skills; development of fine motor skills; learning numbers, shapes and colors; and basic math.) The apps work to help educate children and raise awareness of the standards among parents.
