In this episode of The Faces of Fashion series we sit down with Colette Wong, Chairperson of Fashion Design the largest department at the Fashion Institute of Technology, in the School of Art and Design.

Professor Wong has been with FIT for 28 years. Prior to this, she had been a fashion designer, with a particular emphasis in intimate apparel. Professor Wong goes on to speak about the Fashion Design program, which extends beyond the technical aspect of constructing a garment and sewing. She stresses the importance of team building in today’s world of producing good design, and the opportunity that FIT students have with using New York City as their campus.
