Fereshteh Forough is the Co-Founder of Afghan Citadel Software Company, a women-based IT company in Afghanistan. She is also a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Women's Annex Foundation, a non-for profit organization that supports and helps women in Afghanistan through Education and Social Media .
Women's Annex is an online platform which enables women around the world to upload their content and generate revenues based on their social media activities. Since February 2014, the users have been getting paid in the digital currency "Bitcoin".
In this video, Fereshteh explains that Bitcoin isn't only a currency but a technology that supports digital literacy and sustainable education for girls in schools, not only in Afghanistan but in all developing countries.
