Garrett Hedlund is far, far away from “TRON: Legacy.” The actor has been slowly proving to everyone that he has some acting chops and they’re on full display in Dee Rees’ “Mudbound” where the actor stars as the bruised Jamie McAllan. The picture above was taken during the film’s after-premiere party and the actor was so sweet and nice that when he saw me the following morning, he gave me a great big hug!

In this interview, we talked about his interest in making the film, working with Jason Mitchell (who plays his friend in the film), and his inspiration for “Mudbound.”
