Guy Pearce Talks About “Lockout”

Uploaded on Tuesday 10 April 2012

DESCRIPTION

I’ve loved Guy Pearce since “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.” When I told the actor that near the end, there’s a funny quip you have to see!

In “Lockout,” Pearce stars as Snow, a mysterious character who’s in charge of rescuing the President’s daughter inside an outer space prison. The film lights up with Pearce’s quips and one-liners, and it reminds me of the good, old-fashioned thrillers from the 80s where the plot is simple, and the hero is an anti-hero full of witty one-liners. Co-written by producer Luc Besson (“Taken”) alongside the film’s directors Stephen St. Leger and James Mather, you’ll enjoy “Lockout” when it comes out on April 13th.

In this interview, we talked about:

*** His interest in working on the movie
*** How he prepared
*** He’s notorious for being strict about continuity – thank goodness because “Memento” would have failed without its logical continuity
*** Yup, “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”
