DESCRIPTION

A music video for a group of youngsters who, in a response to the 2011 UK Riots decided to try and do something about it. Jo a recent graduate set about releasing a music single and asked her friends to help, they asked their friends and so on. Soon they had hundreds of applicants including musicians whose homes were burnt to the ground in the riots, rights on a Linkin Park track and some ducks (us) to film it.

Dawsons music donated a piano that was damaged in the riots for us to burn for the film. The burning piano or any instrument is like burning books and for us represented the break down of a society. Within the film we wanted to give a menacing feel yet the guys who were involved sang with conviction and compassion. Traits in young adults largely ignored by the media.

We shot the video over a beautiful sunny weekend at a school with it's own recording studio and in contrast the evening shoot was on a cold October evening in a deserted business park.

This cover version of the Linkin Park song was released as a charity single and we are told that the band fully support the plight and the single. Since it's release Jo Lloyd has been on Channel 5 in UK speaking about the single where the video was shown.
