Laura Linney Interview “Hyde Park on Hudson”

Uploaded on Tuesday 4 December 2012

DESCRIPTION

I’ve always been a fan of Laura Linney ever since I saw her as Mary Ann Singleton in 1993’s “Tales of the City” by Armistead Maupin. Since then, the actress has starred in numerous films that continued to validate my initial though – Laura Linney is a fantastic character actress. In the new movie “Hyde Park on Hudson” from director Roger Michell (“Notting Hill”), Linney stars as Daisy, the self-proclaimed “part of the furniture” paramour of FDR. In this interview, we talked about:

*** I told her I’ve been a fan since “Tales of the City” – I’m now complete
*** What made her interested in making “Hyde Park on Hudson”
*** Did she like the whole political aspect of the film?
*** The movie’s even tone of funny, historical, drama – and it’s a beautiful film to boot!
*** Working with Bill Murray
*** How did she research for the role?
*** The best way of eating hot dogs?
*** What’s next for Laura Linney?
*** What does she want audiences to take away from the film?
