DESCRIPTION

1913. Dr. Jozef Brenner (Thomsen), a compulsive morphine addict, transfers to a mental institution for troubled women to cure his writer’s block. There he meets the deeply disturbed patient Gizella (Stubø), and the two begin a dangerously codependent affair, which threatens to drive them both over the edge.
