Xcorps Motorsports Bandit X Project part 3 Panels and Bumper - Owner of So Cal Paintworks Bob Lubke talks about the body gaps and the alignment of those gaps on the 1979 Trans AM restoration. Bob also covers the rear spoiler alignment on the F-Body cars that had them and how to get them to line up. The front bumper gave us problems and Bob covers trying to decide
 on finding a new one or reusing the old one.
We found a great restorations shop in Santee California to base the project. So Cal Paint Works has stepped up to take on the project and we couldn't be more thrilled. We went down for their customer appreciation day and saw some of the cars that they had done and we were hooked. They stripped the car completely down to bare metal and started from scratch. Gregg Scott will be doing the 455 for the Phoenix Project. 
He has a long history in drag racing and builds engines for some of the top racers at Barona Drag Strip. He builds high horsepower engines that are street driver friendly. 
Our friend Dave over at Pro Touring F-body is supplying us with the suspension parts that we need for our Phoenix project aka Bandit X. We are up grading to solid sub frame bushings, tubular upper and lower control arms, sub frame connectors, new coil springs, rear leaf springs along with his adjustable shocks. All this is going to make the car handle way better than it ever did. Well be out tearing up the auto cross like it was a Sunday drive in the country.
