Why does my Buzz Score go down?

  1. The Buzz Score is a competitive system. It changes every day depending on the activities of all users.
    To maintain or increase your Buzz Score, we encourage you to provide higher quality content and be consistent in providing new content. For more information, please see the sections “What counts in the Buzz Score?” and “How to increase my Buzz Score?”.
  2. Changes of up to 10 points in one day are normal and may happen due to minor adjustments or a change in your daily activity
  3. If your Buzz Score went down suddenly by over 20points you might have been flagged as spammer by our system. If you feel that you have not been spamming, feel free to contact us at cs@bitlanders.com
  4. The microblogs system is not meant to be used for peer to peer communication. As microblogs are broadcasted, we encourage you to use the private messages system if you need to communicate with a specific user to keep your content pertinent and interesting to all your followers.

How to increase my Buzz Score?

  1. Upload high quality content such as:
    • Micro-blogs: Post short status updates, questions, thoughts, pictures, etc.
    • Blogs: Write quality blogs. High quality blogs receive more points in the Buzz Score. (Please check the section “How to write a blog?”)
    • Movies: Upload quality videos. High quality videos receive more points in Buzz Score.
    • Photo Albums: Upload your pictures.
  2. Share on Social Media: Share other users' content by clicking on the social media sharing buttons(Facebook, Twitter, Google+).
  3. Become influent: Have your subscribers and friends watch, read and share your content.
  4. Be consistent in uploading content.
  5. Be creative and original: Post interesting and original content to engage your audience in order to gain new subscribers. Spam and duplicated contents will not contribute to your Buzz Score.

How to upload a video?

  1. Click on the “+” icon at the top right of the page and choose “Upload A Movie”.
  2. Drag your movie file into the window, or click on “Add a Video”.
  3. While your video starts uploading, enter the title, description and additional details for your movie.
  4. Click on “Publish” after the movie is 100% uploaded.

What is the movie format supported by bitLanders?

We accept most formats such as Quicktime movie, Mpeg-4, Flash, WMV, AVI, etc. However we do recommend H.264/MPEG-4 or H.264 Quicktime files for a high-quality viewing experience:

Codec: H.264/AAC.
Frame rate: "Current" is best; 30 fps for USA, Canada, and Japan; 25 fps for the rest of the world.
Data rate: 1000 kbits/sec (SD), 2000 kbits/sec (HD).
Resolution: 640x480 (SD), 1280x720 (HD).
Deinterlacing: Yes (if shot in DV format).
Audio: 320 kbps/44.100 kHz.
Very important: Please make sure that your file is optimized for streaming and your output field is set to progressive.

What is the video's maximum size I can upload?

The maximum size for videos is 1.9GB.

How long does it take for my video to go online?

All uploaded videos are subject to review by our editorial team and go through the bitLanders administration first. Please allow a few days for your video to be put online.

Where do I find my films?

All your films can be found by clicking on ‘My videos’ in the main menu (“gear” icon).

How do I delete a film?

Click on the arrow at the top right of your video and select “Delete”.

How do I embed a film in my blog?

To embed videos directly into your blog:

  1. In your blog editor, click on the “Add video” button.
  2. Choose a video from your library of films from your bitLanders profile,
  3. Or copy the embed code of the desired video. You can embed videos from bitLanders, YouTube and Vimeo. To find the embed code of a bitLanders video, click on the “chain” icon at the top left of the player of the video to copy the embed code.

How do I customize the size of an embedded video for my website or blog?

The standard size of an embedded video is 390 (width=w) x 215 (height=h). To change it to your desired size:

  1. The iframe code for a bitLanders video looks like this with M******** being the id to your video.
  2. Change 390 (for width) and 215 (for height) to your desired size.

How to write a micro-blog?

The micro-blogs can be written in the ‘Ask questions and share your thoughts with the community’ box at the top of the content flow or by clicking on the “+” icon at the top right of the page (“Write a micro blog”).

They are limited to 160 characters. You can add pics, use hashtags, and tag other bitLanders users using the @ sign.

How to write a blog?

Click on the “+” icon at the top right of the page and choose “Write a blog”.

Find below a list of items that our editorial team look at when reviewing the blogs, so you know what to work on in your articles:

  1. Keywords: Use some keywords relevant to the topic of your article. Make sure you have keywords both in the title and the body of the blog. Bold them.
  2. Links: Link some keywords to other blogs and/or videos on bitLanders, and external sources.
  3. Videos: Embed videos relevant to the topic of your article from bitLanders directly into your blog. Click on the “chain” icon on the top left of the player to copy the embed code.
  4. Pictures: Add pictures relevant to your blog's topic.
  5. Text: Make sure your article isn't too short (at least 2-3 paragraphs), doesn't only contains pictures or videos, and doesn't have grammatical mistakes.
  6. Originality: Blogs must be original, written by you, in your own words, and not copied and pasted from another article or website, please check the section below (“My blog was rejected because of “duplicate content”. What does it mean?”) for more information.

NOTES:

- High quality blogs receive more points in the Buzz Score.

- Duplicated content copied from the web will be rejected and it may lead to the suspension of your Account.

My blog was rejected because of “duplicate content”. What does it mean?

Your blog must be original, written by you, in your own words, and not copied and pasted from another article or website.

However, if you want to include some sentences from the web in your blog, please use quotes (“) and clearly mention or provide the link to the original source.

Repeatedly posting duplicated content copied from the web may lead to the suspension of your Account, please see section “My account was suspended. Why?” for more information.

I have some blog sites on the web, can I post them on bitLanders?

Yes, if you are the author or owner of the blog site on the web, you can post the same article with the link to the original source in your blog so that we know it is not duplicated content.

Please keep in mind, quality content generates more Buzz Score so you should consider hosting your content directly on bitLanders for best results.

How do I edit a blog?

When you are on the blog page you want to update, click on the arrow at the right of the title and select ‘Edit’.

Where do I find my blogs?

All your blogs can be found by clicking on ‘My blogs’ in the main menu (‘gear’ icon), and your micro-blogs in ‘My micro-blogs’.

Where do I find my blog drafts?

You can find them in ‘My blogs’ in the main menu (‘gear’ icon).

How to create a photo album?

  1. Click on the “+” icon at the top right of the page and choose “Add a photo gallery”.
  2. Drag your photos into the window, or click on “Add Image”.
  3. Enter the title and description for your album and photos.
  4. Click on “Publish”.

Where can I see my revenue?

Click on the Bitcoin icon in the top bar. There, you can see:

  1. Shop credit: credit you can spend on our Online Store. You can already spend your daily revenue of the current month right away!
  2. Balance: current available balance in the wallet. When it adds up to at least BTC 0.2, you can request a payment.
  3. All time total: total credit you have earned. It includes the daily estimated revenue of the current month, past months revenue and wallet movements.

How can I make more money?

You can generate more revenues via our Affiliate Program by inviting friends to join the platform. We give you 20% of the revenues generated by your affiliates (your affiliates get 100% of their revenues). The non-users who register through a registration box located on one of your videos or blogs pages also become one of your affiliates.

Go to the “Earn More” page accessible from the “gear” menu to see your list of affiliates, invite people to join and see the link to your personal registration URL.

Why does my revenue go down?

  1. Is it the beginning of the month?
    Our system is calculating the monthly revenues for all the users. It may take a few days for the result to get updated, please be patient.
  2. The Buzz Score algorithm changes daily/weekly as we add more users. Revenues change every day, sometimes more, sometimes less, as the Advertising networks are changing their algorithms and payments everyday to bitLanders. The advertising market changes towards "quality content". The Buzz Score is competitive, so while one user’s score goes up, other users’ score might go up more.

How can I use my Bitcoin?

You can spend your Bitcoin on our Online Store as soon as they are earned. Or you may wait 75 days and, if the minimum amount of BTC 0.2 is reached, you may request them directly.

How can I request a Bitcoin payment?

You can request a payment from the “My Revenues” page by clicking on “Request”. You will be asked to provide your Bitcoin Wallet Address.

Your revenues are transferred to your wallet after 75 days.

You may only send a payment request when the balance adds u p to at least BTC 0.2.

After I placed a request, how long does it take to receive my Bitcoin payment?

Please allow a few days to complete the transaction.

Where is the Online Store and what does it offer?

Click on the “shopping cart” icon at the top left of the page, or visit Online Store.

What is the Shop Credit?

The shop credit is the credit you can spend on our Online Store.

If you shop on our store, you don’t need to wait 75 days after your Bitcoin are earned nor to reach a minimum amount, and you can spend your daily revenue of the current month right away!

How do I place an order?

Click on the “shopping cart” icon at the top left of the page, or visit Online Store.

Click on the “BUY” button for the item you wish to purchase. It will then appear in your “MY ORDERS” page.

How do I see the status of my order?

Go to the Online Store page and click on “MY ORDERS” to see the status of your order and purchase history.

How and when will I receive my order?

Your order will be delivered to the Email address registered on your profile within 1-2 working days. Please make sure your Email is correct and functional.

How can I recover my password?

You may recover your password by simply clicking on the following link and entering your Email address:

How can I customize my avatar?

Click on the “gear” icon at the top right of the page, choose “Preferences” and then “Appearance”.

You can change the avatar’s outfit and hairstyle, add accessories, etc.

How do I change the cover background for my personal page?

To change the cover pic of your profile page:

  1. Place your mouse on the cover pic to see a “gear” icon appear at the top left of the current background image.
  2. Click on it to either select your own image or choose one of our default backgrounds, and click on “Save”.

My account was suspended. Why?

The following activities may lead to the suspension of your Account:

  1. Spamming in micro-blogs and comments.
  2. Repeatedly posting duplicated content copied from the web, blogs and videos.
  3. Using text scramblers and posting unreadable blogs.
  4. Posting offensive or racist content.
