"31 Days of Breast Cancer Discovery" is a series of featuring daily informative videos throughout the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Presented in association with Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Susan K. Boolbol, the Chief of Breast Surgery, it discusses a various topics about how you can reduce your risk of cancer and how to get the best medical treatment if you are diagnosed with the disease.

In Day 20's video "BSGI Imaging", Dr. Susan K. Boolbol talks about  MRIs and BSGIs. BSGI, which stands for Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging, is a nuclear medicine test that exams the breast cells. Through an injection into the breasts, It shows the metabolic activity of the cells to find abnormalities. This is because cancerous cells will have more activity because they multiply faster than normal cells.
