A Low-Carb diet is one of them. So in this article, we will talk about the Low-Carb foods you can eat. First, we should know some things about Low-carb diets.

What is a Low-Carb diet?

"Low-carb" means "low in carbohydrates".

A Low-Carb diet can also be called a high-fat diet (LCHF) or a keto diet. If you are using this diet for weight loss, you should eat foods that contain protein, natural fats, and vegetables, and eat fewer carbohydrates, which means you should avoid eating any sugary and starchy foods.

Studies show that low-carb diets result in weight loss and some benefits. One of the major benefits is lower blood pressure because this diet makes it easier to control your blood sugar. On a low-carb diet, you can eat delicious foods until you are satisfied – and still lose weight. And instead, you should totally avoid taking any sugary food, or at least, try to minimize your intake of sugar and starches.

How does it work? "When you avoid sugar and starches, your blood sugar stabilizes and the levels of the fat-storing hormone insulin drop. This increases fat burning and makes you feel more satiated, reducing food intake and causing weight loss."

 

The basics of a Low-Carb diet

When you are on a Low-Carb diet, you should eat foods with low carbohydrates, and you eat real foods such as protein, natural fats, and vegetables. When you’re hungry, You can eat until you’re satisfied. It’s that simple. You do not need to count calories or weigh your food. And just forget about industrially produced low-fat products.

What to eat and what to avoid? These are the simple basics.

What to Eat: 

Meat, fish, eggs, vegetables growing above ground and natural fats (such as butter).

6 Weight Loss Friendly Low-Carb Meals

When you are a diet, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't eat at all. Instead, you can try to put some thoughts into the meals. Try to make your meals with some varieties and I believe this can help to lift your mood during your weight loss period, making it more pleasant.

A good thing about the low-carb diets is that you don't even need to count calories or use special products. All the ingredients used in these meals are very easy to get. These meals are easy and quick to prepare if you do not have much spare time. They are low-carb and weight loss friendly.

Here are some keto meals for those people who are on a Low-carb diet.

 

(1) Bacon and Eggs

This is a simple and yummy dish. Bacon is one kind of processed meat, and most people do not consider it a health food. But it is still low in carbs, so you can eat it if you are on a low-carb diet.

Ingredients: 

Bacon, Eggs.

How to prepare:

1. Put the bacon in a frying pan, fry until it is ready without adding any oil. When it is ready, put it on a plate.
2. Fry 3 to 4 eggs in the same frying pan.

Depending on your personal preferences, you may add some flavor to the eggs, put a bit of sea salt, garlic powder and onion powder on them while frying.

(2) Eggs and Vegetables

This meal is perfect for your breakfast and it makes you feel stuffed for a long time.

Ingredients: 

Olive oil, Spinach, Mixed Vegetables (carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans) and Spices.

How to prepare:

1. Heat up the Olive oil in a frying pan.
2. Add mixed vegetables. You can use fresh or frozen vegetables.
3. Add 3 to 4 eggs.
4. Add salt and pepper. You may also add the spices you like.
5. Add spinach.
6. Mix all and stir-fry until they are ready.

Other than Olive oil, you may also choose Coconut oil, Avocado oil and Butter.

(3) Grilled Chicken Wings With Salad

If you love grilled food, this meal is great!

Ingredients: 

Chicken Wings, Spices, Salad, Sauce.

How to prepare:

1. Put salt and pepper on chicken wings. If you prefer, you may use spice mix for the barbeque foods.
2. Heat up your oven, at 180-200°C (356-392°F), when it is ready put the chicken wings in the oven, for about 40 minutes.
3. Wait until the wings are brown and crunchy.
4. Serve with some salad and sauce you like.

(4) Ground Beef With Sliced Bell Peppers

This is a meal for beef lover. It is perfect if you have some spare ground beef laying around in the refrigerator.

Ingredients: 

Vegetable Oil, Onions, Ground Beef, Spinach, Spices and a Bell Pepper.

How to prepare:

1. Cut an onion into small pieces.
2. Heating up vegetable oil in a pan.
3. Add onion pieces and stir for two minutes.
4. Add ground beef.
5. Add salt and pepper. You may also add other spices you like.
6. Add spinach.
7. Mix all and stir-fry until it is ready, serve with a sliced bell pepper.

(5) Cheeseburgers Without a Bun

Burgers without a bun, yes, because you should avoid bread if you are on a low-carb diet. Have it with some cheeses and serve with green salad.

Ingredients: 

Butter, Hamburgers, Cheddar Cheese, Cream Cheese, Sauce, Spices, Salad.

How to prepare:

1. Put butter in a pan, heat up slowly to avoid burning the butter.
2. Add burgers and spices.
3. Flip until it is almost ready.
4. Add a few slices of cheddar and some cream cheese on top.
5. Turn down the heat and put a lid on the pan until the cheese melts.
6. Serve with some green salad. 

Pour some of the fat from the pan on top of the salad will make it more tasty. To make the burgers even more tasty you can add some sauce you like on top.

(6) Fried Chicken Nuggets

Do you like eating chicken breasts? If you do, try this delicious meal.

Ingredients: 

Butter, Chicken Breast, Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Curry and Vegetables or salad.

How to prepare:

1. Cut chicken breast into small pieces.
2. Put butter in a pan, heat up slowly to avoid burning the butter.
3. Add chicken pieces to the pan.
4. Add salt, pepper, curry and garlic powder.
4. Mix all and stir-fry until the chicken becomes brownish and crunchy.
5. Serve with some vegetables or salad.

Weight loss is possible, you just have to choose a method that suits you better and be persistent. If you choose Low-Carb diets, then you should strictly follow the basics of the diet. Eat real foods including protein, natural fats, and vegetables, and eat food low in carbohydrates. After all, that's how this diet works!
