60 Minutes: Women-Empowering Episodes

Posted on at

Part of bitLanders' advocacy is empowering women. To change people's perception about women, and that women shouldn't be looked at as a weaker gender but an equal to men. In connection to bitLanders' 60 Minutes C-blogging, I will be writing about some 60 Minutes episodes highlighting interviews of strong women.

60 Minutes is an American news magazine investigative show on CBS network. It was established by Don Hewitt on 1968 and is the longest-running and most successful current affairs primetime program in history. The show is known for its in-depth investigation and straightforward interviews on issues about politics, health, public personalities, government, environment, technology, automobile, crime, and other topics which needed broader investigation for public information. Correspondents of the show are also among the most-trusted and well-known like Steve Kroft, Lesley Stahl, Anderson Cooper, Sharyn Alfonsi, Norah O'Donnell, Scott Pelley, Jon Wertheim, and Bill Whitaker. Reporters are also the hosts of the program.

The 60 Minutes show airs every Sunday at 7 o'clock in the evening which lasts for 60 Minutes, wherein 42 minutes is allotted for the program itself while the 18 minutes is allocated for commercials. Over the past decades, the television show had received several prestigious awards including Emmy Awards and Peabody Awards. Some of the most-watched episodes of the program were interviews with Barack Obama, Donald Trump, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Stormy Daniels.

The program doesn't have a theme song but only a clock ticking sound which can be heard on the beginning and ending of the program when 60 Minutes' logo appears. You may want to visit 60 Minutes' official website, and social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube) for the latest updates. You can also watched their previous episodes on the official website. Apart from it, there is also an extended program of 60 Minutes online called 60 Minutes Overtime.

Without further ado, here is my C-blog with some women interviews on 60 Minutes. Interact with the Querlo chatbot below to find out!
