For celebrating the 50th year of diplomatic relations between China and France, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi attended an open-air show at Olympic Park, Beijing. The show was presented by the French company “La Machine”. A spectator described his impression of the show with the following words: “I had no idea what to expect. At no circumstances I would have expected a 17m long and 15m tall fire-spitting Robotic Dragon Horse, fighting against a 5.7m tall and 6m wide mechanical spider. Add some smoke, snow, sound effects as well as a live orchestra and you are watching a spectacle of the absolute superlative.”
