Lahore (Urdu: لاہور‎, Punjabi: لہور; /ləˈhɔːr/) is the capital city of the Pakistani province of Punjab, and is the country’s second-most populous city after Karachi.[3] The city is located in the north-eastern end of Pakistan's Punjab province, near the border with the Indian state of Punjab. Lahore is one of Pakistan's wealthiest cities with an estimated GDP of $58.14 billion (PPP) as of 2014,[7][8] Lahore is the historic cultural centre of the Punjab region,[9][10][11] and is one of Pakistan's most socially liberal,[12] progressive,[13] and cosmopolitan cities.

My journey to Lahore:

There was no plan of visiting Lahore because usually I’m busy here but our father got the call from their office that they have to attend a meeting in Lahore and so we also planned to visit some of its places and that we will have some shopping there.

Our plan was very simple that we will leave in the early morning. And just due to our plan, we prepared ourselves for the night time and made an alarm for 3 o clock. We wake up and made final preparation and started our journey. We planned to go there through Motorway so we entered in the Balkasar Tool Plaza and started traveling to Lahore through M2 motorway which goes directly Lahore. The motorway can be used for safe traveling and you have no worry here.

Journey on the Motor Way:

We started our journey on the motorway in the early morning and time was 3 am. The total length of our journey was approximately 300 kilometers. We took 3 hours and finally reached Lahore. The journey on the motorway was fantastic, the motorway is the most stunning road of Pakistan and you have no worry at all of the high traffic or any other issue like road crimes.

In the Lahore City:

The Lahore city was very stunning and we reached approximately at 9 o clock. The first thing that was in our plan to take breakfast but we had no idea of hotels or any restaurants. We took help from the Google Maps app and found Anarkali Bazaar where we can have breakfast easily. There was also another option of going Food Street but as I was a bit aware of Anarkali Bazaar so I planned to go there.

We reached in the Anarkali bazaar and found some hotels there where we can take breakfast. The breakfast which we took there was really wonderful, I can’t forget it because that was so tasty. After that, we started visiting Anarkali bazaar. The bazaar usually starts at 12 o clock and remains open till late night. Here you can find clothing and shopping malls. You can have shopped here with your family and can also park your vehicle here easily because parking facility is also available here.

Lahore Zoo:

After that, we planned to visit Lahore zoo which is also a wonderful place. The reason was that we have our children with us. We went to the Lahore zoo and took tickets for visiting with family. You can get a special discount if you are holding family. Children can have the half ticket. We entered the zoo and started visiting and enjoying here. In the Lahore zoo, you can see hundreds of animals and birds which are hardly available now. These birds and animals are taken from other countries and can be only seen here in the zoo. We enjoyed a lot especially our children liked the birds here.

Data Darbar (Shrine) Lahore:

After that, we went ahead and planned to visit the holy shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh. Hazrat Data Ganj was a holy saint who spent his whole life for the sake of religion Islam and worked a lot for religion. He told people the real meaning of Islam and asked them to turn towards Allah. We prayed on the grave of Hazrat Data Ganj and also offered prayer. After that we took lunch.

We reached the tomb of Allama Muhammad Iqbal which is also in Lahore. Allama Iqbal was a great poet, philosopher, and a brilliant leader. He revoked the Muslims of Asia Subcontinent with his poetry. He told the Muslims how to live in peace and truth. His amazing poetry has a special lesson for us. There are many books available in the libraries and on the internet.
Allama Iqbal tomb was very beautiful and admirable. We prayed there and then started our journey back to home.
