About uncertainty

Posted on at

Today my students told me they believe we live in a neurotic world. Full of pressures to be what others expect and in constant risks of loosing the real me in favor of an idealized alter ego doomed to fail and suffer.

They are living as little children, even when they are on college; afraid of uncertainty, not knowing what the future is preparing for them; believing they must betray themselves in order to achieve an small amount of resources to feel a little more secure.

Has the world become as scary as they are describing it? Have we lost the skills to teach what it takes to live this world? On a globalized reved up world, i can't find the way to grasp an answer for that.

It has been a weird day, a sad gloomy day. It's late, i hope tomorrow would be a little better for all of us.

Good night world!
