An Afghan Perspective - 60 Minutes on CBS - Obama and Clinton: The 60 Minutes interview, January 27, 2013

Politics, it is one of the important issues which defines strategical point of views of each country and in the other hand it establishes a  relation between people and the government.  60 Minutes show in this week did an interview with President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about their experiences during their political work together.

I would like to refer to a very remarkable sentence from Secretary of Sate about her feelings after President Obama won the election in his first term, she said : "Look, in politics and in democracy, sometimes you win elections, sometimes you lose elections. And I worked very hard, but I lost. And then President Obama asked me to be secretary of state and I said yes."  And they have been working together not only as the political partners but even friends.

For a country like Afghanistan that spent a complicated political life three decades ago it should be a remarkable example to implement as there was and still there are tensions and contradictions between different political parties which not only lead the government to be unstable but even increase the gap among people who belongs to specific tribes.

I think differences are not always the point to be against other's thoughts and opinions, but it can be a positive point to get the advantages of that and it is the time to speak about critical thinking and problem solving issues, while you face with diversity of thoughts and feeling how you can handle the situation which leads the future of country in the appropriate way.

After 2014, Afghanistan will face a new and challenging political period, when the responsibilities  will be transfered to Afghans.  Politics is everywhere but there is only one place where we try to focus on only education and our saying is : " NO POLITICS JUST INTERNET"

Afghan Development Project is establishing Internet classrooms in Afghanistan to give the chance for 160,000 Afghan kids access the Internet and build their career in the virtual world and be a though leader however in the future they can act as politician and serve their country with an open perspective of what is going on around them.
