Artificial satellites (Part 3)

Till now we have briefly discussed the 5 different satellites which are Navigation Satellites, Weather Satellites, Military Satellites and Scientific Satellites. And we also briefly discuss the work of each satellite and we understand that the work of satellite is very important in our daily life. In today’s lecture we will discuss Satellite Launches. And we have also segregated the different satellites. Today we will discuss about. We must know that these are artificial satellite not the natural one and these are made by the human.

Satellite Launches

Satellite Launches in the space is very much difficult process because placing a satellite into orbit requires very huge amount of energy, which must come from the satellite launch device or satellite launch vehicle. As we know that satellite required energy to leave the earth due to the force of gravity. The satellite needs to reach orbit successfully to start their work and give output. Satellites receive this combination of potential energy and kinetic energy from multistage rockets burning chemical fuels.

At the first stage of a multistage rocket, it consists of engines that provide a huge amount of force or thrust. The first stage vehicle lifts the entire Satellite with its load of fuel, the rocket body and the satellite. After consuming all the fuel by engines of vehicle, the first stage portion of the rocket separates from the rest of the launch vehicle and falls to Earth. After this second stage ignites and provide the necessary energy for the satellite lift into orbit. After consuming the fuel some portion separates again.

The further Satellite launch depends on the satellite’s mission. The third rocket stage provides the thrust to lift the satellite to its final orbital altitude. If the mission requires a geostationary orbit, that can be achieved at a distance of about 35,000km above The Earth. After the satellite has reached the final altitude and mission required stage, another rocket engine fires and gives the satellite a circular orbit. These are very calculated process and all rocket-engine burns occur at a precise moment and last for a precise moment and last for a precise amount of time so that the satellite achieves its proper position in space.

we can also see another image of satellites

In the next lecture we will discuss about the satellite orbits and Power of satellite which are required for the operation of a satellite.
