After first two games series was level. Both teams wanted to get the lead and go ahead in the series. But this was looking tough for South Africa due to their performance on this tour of Australia. Australia was giving nicely towards the bog total but they were losing wicket. But Smith recovers it with his extra ordinary innings of 77 runs from just 55 balls. Australia put a huge of total of 329 runs on the board. Two top bowlers (Morkel and Philander) gone for 154 runs in their 20 over’s. When two premium fast bowlers will not give good performance, automatically chances of their victory will be minimized.
South Africa starts their innings very well with Hashim Amla and Quinton De Kock. Both these openers give the pace to the South African innings. But De Kock lost his wicket before reaching to his fifty. After the first wicket Australian bowlers not gives to many chances to come back in the match to the South Africa. Hashim Amla also backs to the pavilion after scoring century. All remaining batsman did not show any responsibility except AB De Villiers. He plays the good quick fifty runs innings. But this was not enough for the South Africa team. Due to this bad performance of South Africa batsman’s they lost this match by 73 runs. With this victory once again Australia gets the lead in this series. If South Africa wants to win this series, they will have to improve themselves in all the fields of cricket in remaining matches.
