AVOCATION is a contemporary art exhibition on view at the Baum Gallery from from Thursday through Feb. 26. Opening receptions are in the Baum Gallery in McCastlain Hall on Thursday, Jan. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m., and Jan. 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. Admission to the receptions and exhibitions is free. The public is invited. Gallery hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sundays for receptions only from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For directions and more information, log on to www.uca.edu/cfac/baum and scroll down to "Gallery Information."

Featured in the exhibition are paintings by Professor Roger Bowman (Printmaking), drawings by Assistant Professor Carrie Dyer (Graphics), fiber constructions by Assistant Professor Deborah Kuster (Art Education), sculptures by Assistant Professor Holly Laws (Foundations), drawings by Assistant Professor Ray Ogar (Graphics), drawings by Assistant Professor Jennifer Rospert (Drawing), and paintings by Assistant Professor Michael Wyshock (Painting).
