The BitGive Foundation recently did two presentations in San Francisco, one at the Bitcoin Beginners Fair and another at the SF Bitcoin Meetup.  

Every opportunity we have to talk publicly about our work, we begin with the story of Bitcoin's social value.  To me, the Founder of BitGive, this is the true beauty of Bitcoin and why it will revolutionize the world we live in today.  This is precisely the foundation upon which BitGive was built.  

Bitcoin in the developed world is mostly a matter of convenience or a fun new technology and, in some cases, helps people who for one reason or another are unable to function in the traditional system.  But in the developing and third world, Bitcoin is so much more!
