BLOG #113: Going Home

I was browsing through my collection of pictures taken the past few years and saw the picture above.

GOING HOME

I clearly remember that time I took that picture.  It may sound cliche but it seems it was only yesterday.  According to the picture details, that was taken on July 2011 at 5:20 a.m.

I remember I was on my home walking that early morning.  I just came from a night out with friends - friends that I miss.  Friends that I haven't been with the past two years.  That picture gave me nostalgia of things past and probably future.  Makes me wonder when will those moments be replicated.

What made me take that picture was the color of the sky and the contrast of the lamp lights.  Also, the reflection of those lights in the puddle of water and on the windows.  It is the rainy months so the ground is wet.  There is warmth and cold at the same time, which is what I was feeling that time.

Upon arriving home, I went straight to our rooftop because I want to take a picture of the valley too.  I know there would be mist that early morning.  The sky is starting to brighten, losing that bluish color so I have to be quick.

I settled my camera and clicked away.

That is a view of our town.  An early morning photo.  It is not the same anymore for there are two signages sticking out like sore thumb - McDo and Jollibee.  Soon, somewhere there will be a supermarket standing in the foreground.
