BLOG #148: Twiggies, Quake and Fudgee

Posted on at

In search for some snacks, I tried all the above starting with Fudgee Barr (Rebisco), Quake (Jack & Jill) and then finally Twiggies (Gardenia).

I like the Fudgee Barr the most.  It is soft and not dry.  I am not so keen about the chocolate flavor though.  I like the other flavors especially pandan.

Quake on the other hand is too chocolatey almost bitter taste and dry it's like eating flavored cardboard.

Finally, Twiggies is too buttery and oily and also dry.  Of the three, this is the one that tasted artificial.  What I like about Twiggies though is that the there is no paper that holds the cake unlike the two above.  So you get to eat it out of the wrapper right away.

They are close in price range, just a few cents difference.

I might try some other cakes that are available in the market and see if something will top Fudgee Barr in terms of taste and price.
